View pricing, and pick a session type from this list. When you feel like you've worked out which kind of session you'd like to book, LOCK IT IN HERE. If you have a specific date in mind and it's within the next three months CONTACT ME to check availability first.
Once your booking fee is paid, I'll be in touch to discuss dates. I'll ask you to give me an approximate date/month that you'd like to book in for and I'll send you my availability. Together we'll figure out a date that works for us both.
Once the booking fee is paid and your session date is locked in and I'll give you a call to chat about your family and what your normal routine is like.
I'll check in with you about a week before the session via email to confirm details and make sure we're good to go. The remainder of your invoice is due at this time as well, and can be paid via bank transfer or credit card. If you prefer to pay off your invoice with smaller instalments prior to the session, please let me know ahead of time and we can arrange it.
After I arrive at your home, the first thing I'll do is start chatting with you about how your day is going and meet the rest of the family.Next I'll ask for a little tour of the house, and then the rest of the session will just flow naturally with very little guidance from me unless I feel that it's needed.
The best sessions usually involve your family engaging in an activity together (if your kids are older) or just hanging out like you normally do. Please don't feel like you need to perform, or be anything other than yourselves. And if you have young children, don't plan too many activities. Simply follow your normal routine at home, or head out and about as you normally would. My goal is for you to enjoy yourselves and have a wonderful, relaxed experience just being with each other and soaking in the life you've created together.Photographing families is about way more than just getting a pretty photo. It’s about finding beauty in the ordinary. It’s about accepting and loving this stage of your life right now. It’s about creating lasting memories together, and enjoying just being together.
I usually do a sneak peek on Facebook or Instagram within a day or two of your session. The rest of the gallery will be ready within 2 weeks, and will be sent online so that you can download your images straight away. Your film will be ready 4 weeks after the session. And you can expect to receive your album + USB 6-8 weeks after your session date.
Booking a short photography session is a pretty easy decision. The kids are getting older by the second and you know you'd regret not having professional photos take with them each year, but video??? And documenting your real everyday life? Really, it's a whole other kettle of fish. It might seem like booking a 2hr session is the easy choice, because photos can go up on the wall, they are tangible, and you can create albums with them. You can make a photo your profile picture on facebook, send them with Christmas cards, and put them on your bedside table. But can you hear the giggles from a photograph? Can you see the first steps your toddler was taking in your kitchen while you prepared snacks for your older kids? Can you hear the not quite full sentences your 2 year old was saying during those snuggles on the bed with you? Video might seem too expensive, too scary (what will you sound like?? what will you LOOK like??) but I promise you it's worth pushing through those fears you have about money and vanity to book a day in the life session for your family.
You should wear clothes that you love, that you feel good in, and that are comfortable.
Not really. De-cluttering is always a good idea, if you have the time for it. But all that matters is that your home is a true representation of you.
I'm happy to travel anywhere! I love exploring new places. Travel within 40km of the Hills District, Sydney is included in your session price. Outside of that, travel fees will be added.
As soon as you've decided you'd like to book with me, give me a call or email me. I book out quite far in advance, and I only book a handful of clients each month so that I can keep my schedule flexible when things like illnesses and bad weather come up. If you're booking a newborn session, sometime in the second trimester is good. All I need is your EDD to pencil you into my diary. Once your baby is born, send me a quick message to let me know and we will work out a suitable date together.
The weather doesn't matter really, we'll always go ahead. Rain makes really awesome pictures.
Look, these things happen. We'll reschedule and everything will be ok. I would prefer to reschedule your session than go ahead with an unwell child (or Husband!!).
Totally not a problem at all. Kids are messy and chaotic and real. These things happen and honestly I don't worry about it. Real life is what I want to capture.
